The grounds boast beautiful lawns, a sculpture & ceremony garden. Located in Rye, NY, Wainwright is only 35 minutes from NYC and easily accessible from Westchester County, Rockland County, Connecticut and New Jersey.

The Wainwright House is available for a limited number of weddings each year, with the option of both indoor and outdoor events. The house is also available for rehearsal dinners and brunches.

The frequently asked question "how many weddings do you have at one time?" doesn't apply here. One wedding on a day, a limited amount of weddings annually, and the bridal couple get to choose the time of the reception. It is convenient  to get to, provides on-site accommodations for approximately 30 guests and there are three local hotels to choose from.

The tent is situated on a level 80x80 foot lawn and is a semi-permanent structure attached to the house through two wide sets of doors. Carpet and a sub-floor cover 4 inches of gravel with drainage on the perimeter. Inclement weather is not an issue. It is the tallest tent on the market and the sidewalls are 10 feet high, therefore maximizing the view across the water. There is sufficient space indoors for cocktails and eight bathrooms are provided. A charming cottage situated close to the water sleeps 15 guests and is available for rent. The bridal suite is included for the bride and groom for overnight accommodations. For twelve years we have catered weddings at the Wainright House. No wedding planner required. Together we walk you through all the ceremonial options, floor plans, decor ideas, recommended vendors, preparation timelines, and checklists. Three of our weddings have been featured in "The Knot" and "Martha Stewart Weddings" magazines.

Location is one thing, but food is also important. There are five Culinary Institute of America graduates in our operation, all of which have been with us for more than 10 years and some as long as 15 years. We are serious about food!!
